Jul. 26th, 2013 07:30 pmI don't really know my way around words, but personally, writing fascinates me. There are 26 alphabets in the English language, and they can be arranged in so many different ways, so many more ways than I would care to count. I find writing fascinating in that so many different minds can voice their thoughts through their own style of arranging letters - of arranging syllables and words and whole sentences into pieces that may seem weak and insignificant to some, but which may enthral and enlighten others still. Writing has the power to open one's eyes to universes previously unseen - without limiting those imaginations with set images, the way a motion picture does. Through writing we are exposed to the creativity of those who may not be able to sing their thoughts - those who mayn't be as skilled with a paintbrush or a canvas as they would like.
Writing is an avenue down which I would like to travel, one of the simplest ways to behold the spectacle that is the human mind. I am not a master of language, and sometimes words escape me, but there is comfort in knowing that there are some things I can do that people won't feel the need to take from me - that people cannot take from me.
This is a hello to nobody in particular. But still, it is a hello.
